Have you been to the new Thermal Mark factory yet? We’re now at 24 Penny Place, Arndell Park; just off Reservoir Road and minutes from the on and off-ramps of the M4.
We made good use of the Easter long weekend and shifted everything from our old premises in Smithfield to the new factory and were back in full swing on the Tuesday morning.
For customers who have already been to the new site for a service or repair, the reaction is pretty much the same the first time they arrive.
“The instant they jump out of their trucks they say ‘Wow – this is so much better than your old place!’” says Marc Gauci, Managing Director of Thermal Mark Transport Refrigeration. “Better access is one of the main things we wanted to give our customers, and it’s something they are appreciating straight away.”
Roomy yard, easy access
Access to the site is via three spacious driveways, so crowding is no longer a problem. Penny Place is a large cul-de-sac which offers easy turning for B-doubles. No more reversing down driveways!
Improvements we’ve made to the site include concreting extra yard space to make it easier to work on semi-trailers and installation of a secure new black powder coated steel fence with enlarged openings of 11m. Plus we’ve opened up the main doorway into the workshop so it’s easy to get the big trucks in there.
Great location
With Eastern Creek, the M7 and M4 right next door and awash with semis, it was a strategic decision on our part to make it extra easy to accommodate these large companies and their fleets for servicing and repairs as well as our existing clients who come from across Sydney and from all around Australia.
Drivers’ amenities room
Other modifications we made include the renovation of the upstairs and downstairs offices and creation of the Drivers room. Drivers can make themselves comfortable and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee while repairs are made to their trucks.
More stock storage
Moving to the new premises, it was a great opportunity to put time and effort into our stores. We’ve now got an even wider range of refrigeration units and parts on hand, so our customers can get what they need sooner.
